The holidays are around the corner and whether or not you’ll be celebrating Christmas (we don’t at our house), you will not want to miss the amazing deals available in stores. The way I see it, if you don’t take advantage of the things you already use or need when they go on sale, you’re actually doing yourself a disservice (you can just guess how much my husband loves hearing that one)!

When the kids were younger, we’d love to savour Saturday mornings sitting at the table with a cup of coffee and all the flyers spread out in front of us. We’d circle what we needed, make a list then head out to the store. Those days are well behind us. Nowadays it sometimes feels like the kids have more social commitments (parties and lessons and practices oh my!) than we do and the only way I can get a cup of anything hot and caffeinated is in a travel mug to go. 

I used to think that meant the days of getting good deals and saving money on purchases were dwindling along with my ability to sit uninterrupted for five minutes, until I discovered the amazing Flipp app. Think must-have digital flyers. Yes, I said digital flyers. Brilliant! I know. It puts all of the flyers in one place for simple perusing. I can search specific items, specific stores or just browse through to see what’s on sale. I’ve used it for birthday presents (when your child is invited to a birthday party and all you know about their friend is their age, their parents name and that they’d love anything Ninjago or Chima). I’ve used it for clothes for my kids but most of all, for groceries.  You can create shopping lists before you even get to the store, saving time and money.

There is a different category of excitement for saving money on items you’re already planning to purchase. My favourite part? The app is FREE. My next favourite word. 

Many people are under the impression that saving money is only for people who are strapped for cash. I don’t subscribe to that thinking. I believe everyone should be on the hunt for good deals and bargains. It must be embedded somewhere in my DNA, my mom used to do the same thing.

  34. I’m a mother of 5. 3 children still in diapers. So I love that I can type in pampers and it shows me where they are on sale. Can’t live without this app now.

  50. I like the slider on the bottom when you are in a flyer where you can show the items that are 70% off as highlighted.. . slide to any % .. a great feature.

  109. This is a fantastic app. I love the clipping feature so its easier to keep track of what I wanted this week. I also like the fact that I can carry all the current ads in one convenient place and not have to deal with ink hands after!

  155. I also just really love that it is there.. was at Walmart yesterday – and just pulled up the kraft cheese slices from Superstore – and price matched. Love no paper!
