Why you must stay at the @Westin if you’re in #MontTremblant #Quebec

The Westin Mont Tremblant just spent $5 million in renovating every one of their 126 guest rooms top to bottom. Once under the rain forest shower in the contemporary bathroom and one night’s sleep in the fluffy Heavenly beds and I felt every single penny of it.

Luxury, oh the luxury.

The decor is decadent and inviting with muted, natural tones.  Thick, plush carpeting and bedding that feels like you’re sinking into a sea of marshmellows. I’m particular when it comes to hotel rooms. It can never be quite as comfortable as home however the Westin was quick to impress. They stripped the hotel suites down to the concrete and renovated every nook and cranny as well as adding flat screen televisions in each of the suites. That’s a commitment to success and comfort not found at many other hotels.

Our family loves staying at the Westin Mont Tremblant, and it’s all in the details. The morning paper, the fresh in-room coffee and the luxurious ambiance. It’s the little things that make the difference when on vacation. We couldn’t help but notice the wonderful sense of hospitality of their staff. There is very little turnover, many of the staff members that had served us in our last visit about a year ago were still there and remembered us. That extra friendly smile, high five for the kids and nod when passing you in the halls adds to the overall feeling of being welcome.

The Westin Mont Tremblant is conveniently located near the top of the mountain and has a ski in/out entrance where you can store your gear for easy access. The views are incredible and the convenience, a blessing. Traveling and skiing with young kids means you’ll want to make sure you’re close to the activities when your little one defiantly announces they cannot walk another step, they’re just TOOOOO tired (speaking entirely hypothetically of course).

One thing I’ve learnt from experience is the importance of staying at a hotel that offers a great breakfast buffet. I’m a big believer in the importance of starting the day with a healthy meal. This is one of the reasons why I love the breakfast buffet offered at the Westin Mont Tremblant. The other reason is the spectacular variety. Especially when gearing up for a day on the slopes or outdoor activities, you will need your energy. You definitely don’t want to be on the Gondola, mid-way up and have your child turn to you and tell you they’re hungry.

The hotel features a fantastic outdoor heated pool and hot tub, a games room, two restaurants and is a stone’s throw away from many cafés and restaurants, not to mention evening tobogganing and daytime skiing and skating. If you’re visiting Mont Tremblant, do you yourself and your family a favour and book yourself a stay at the Westin Mont Tremblant. You can thank me later.

  1. Thanks for the suggestion of a place to stay, the hotel looks like a great place for a family. I do like that they’re a kitchen, as my little ones always seem get hungry.

  2. This reminds me of the Weston at blue mountain. Spectacular views. I love the pools and workout area offered. But the beds and showers there at any Weston are beyond comparison. I have never been to Mont tremblant. One day!

  3. Wow! I didn’t know the Westin had kitchenettes?! We go to Tremblant once a year on average and I usually rent a condo on the hill. But this looks even better (one doesn’t always know how the condo owner has equipped their condo). Thanks for sharing in such detail!
