Save money and get PAID with the @caddlecanada #CaddleLaunch #tech

I’m a big fan of using technology to save money. I’m an even bigger fan of making money while saving money. I’ve written about some of my favourite money saving apps before, but I haven’t yet come across an app that actually pays me to shop while saving money, until now. I recently learnt of Caddle from an enthusiastic friend who is all about frugal living.

The app, created as part of a new Canadian start-up, is now available on the iOS platform (and online at www.caddle.ca), Caddle returns control to the consumer by allowing them to select the best items for their families and budgets, while being paid for their time. Caddle understands that consumers are busy and puts a dollar value to the time that is spent engaging with the application. Users who interact with Caddle can earn at a rate of about $20 per hour – an unprecedented amount in the retail application area. Based on averages, this amount can realistically allow users to receive reasonable compensation for their time by watching short ads and providing feedback about Caddle’s advertisers – a fact that to this point has not been provided to users of other product-focused consumer apps.

Companies spend millions of dollars in advertising. When I love a product or service I love to shout it from the rooftops. I tell all my friends, family and social media followers about it. With Caddle, I can get paid to do more of what I love.

How does Caddle work?

Caddle pays you for engaging with the app, proving feedback and making purchases, and even pays you when you share the app with friends. That’s a pretty winner winner chicken dinner type deal right there. The companies receive an audience that is engaged (which is always a great thing) and we get to control where, when and how much we wish to engage.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Download the app (right now it is available for iOS and you can sign up on your desktop as well, a version is coming for Android users).

2. Select an offer.

3. Watch the AD.

After the ad is finished, answer the questionnaire and get paid. It will only take you about a minute or so and you can earn approximately $20 an hour!

When you purchase an item that is on Caddle and upload your receipt, you receive cash back. What’s awesome is that you can earn money when sharing Caddle with your friends. All they have to do is download the app and use it. You essentially get paid for doing something you love and if you’re like me, you already do.

Think of all the times you wait around whether it is in line at a coffee shop, in the queue to pick the kids up from the school or while the kids are at sports practice. If you choose to, you can spend some of that time engaging with the app and earn up to $20 an hour doing so.

As a company philosophy and way of giving back to the community, Caddle will also be extending a focus to those in need by donating 10% of all company profits to Canadian charities. I love brands that give back.

  1. I haven’t heard of this app yet. I’ll have to give it a try. I have used ibotta in the past. Then I struggled with getting receipts to scan. I just got a new phone so hopefully that issue will be resolved.
