Love the Skin You’re In with @raffinalla #EmbraceYourself

My body has been through a lot. Two pregnancies, medical procedures and the hustle and bustle of a mama of two. It’s taken a couple of decades to get to a point where I am proud of my skin and all that it has done. Life is too short to not love yourself. It is fiercely important for me to share this message with my 10 year old daughter. Teaching my daughter to empower herself is really important; sometimes it’s easier said than done though, such as when it comes to shopping. It’s not always easy to find the right fit and loving how you look in the typically dimly lit change room. I love buying tops because for the most part they are easy to select. The right pair of pants though? Not so much.

That is until I learnt about Raffinalla, a brand that truly embraces the idea of loving the skin you’re in. Their styles are trendy, fabrics resilient and their entire marketing message is about truly loving the skin you’re in and my favourite part is that the clothing is made in Montreal.

I was recently invited to a unique media event that made my inner teenage fashionata’s heart flutter with glee. It was held at the trendy Boutique Monroe in Montreal’s prestigious Les Cours Montreal shopping centre. We were greeted with lovely brunch bites and flutes of orange juice upon our arrival then introduced to our personal shopping assistant who assisted us as we perused the display picking up items that struck our fancy.

Our items were then hung up in the brightly lit change rooms where we transformed into models for the next little bit. We’d change into an outfit then model our outfits for the other bloggers and attendees where we’d each ooh and aah over each other’s outfits, lift each other up with compliments as only strong women do and then strike a pose or five as we’d have our pictures taken.

The event was absolutely fabulous and so well organized but what’s more is that so many others LOVED the outfits as well. I shared sneak peaks over on Instagram and Facebook and the feedback spoke for itself! I could not decide what outfit to choose so I opened up the question to Facebook! I honoured your feedback and selected the following outfit that I recently wore to the Results Canada National Conference in Ottawa last week!

I have purchased so many pants over the past couple of decades; different sizes, styles and colours. The reality however is that when it comes to running errands or hanging out with the family, I tend to opt for the same few pairs of yoga pants. They fit right and are wash and wear. Do I do yoga? No, but that’s another story for another day.

I am in love with how my Rafinnalla pants fit. I love the styles and colours and how they hug me in all the right places without making me feel like I have been vacuum-sealed into them! I picked up three pairs of Raffinalla pants but somehow it doesn’t feel enough. I have this irresistible urge to go back and get even more pairs. When it fits so well and looks so nice, sometimes a girl wants to splurge.

Raffinalla clothing is located in stores and boutiques across North America, but I am thrilled to know they are manufactured right here in my hometown of Montreal. If you need me, there’s a good chance I’ll be prancing around town in my Raffinalla pants, truly loving the skin I am in.

  2. That sounds like such a fun event. I absolutely love you in the blue! I think we all like to get dressed up from time to time but even though most of us do not do yoga – we all head towards our yoga pants for comfort!

  3. I need to go get some new clothes mine all have holes in them LOL. I will check out this brand if I can find them close to where I live and see how much I like them.
