Family travel: Making Memories to last a lifetime

Sponsored advertising content. I’ve received compensation from MBNA for this sponsored post. As always, all opinions are my own.

My credit cards have varied over the years. From cash back rewards, to redeeming points for groceries – As my needs evolve, so do my credit cards. It made sense, then, to search for a card as versatile as my lifestyle. The way I see it, why should I have five different rewards cards when I can have just one card that offers five types of rewards?!

I recently teamed up with MBNA and applied for the MBNA Rewards World Elite® MasterCard®. Because of all the rewards the card offers, I was certain it would meet my needs. The biggest benefit of the Card is that it’s like having five different rewards cards rolled into one. From travel to merchandise, gift cards and even charitable donations, it’s great to have the flexibility to redeem points for the rewards you want. They say it’s like an “All-In-Wonder” card because you’ll wonder how you ever did without it – And I must say, I agree! Out of the wide selection of rewards, I chose my favorite three and I’ll be speaking about each of them in a series of posts throughout the month! All you moms out there, stay tuned to hear about how these rewards help me stay connected with my family, even as my kids get older!

If you follow me on social media, you’ll probably know that Ms. B just started high school. Somehow, I blinked my eyes and my little chubby-cheeked baby morphed into a pre-teen and is walking the halls of my old high school. It’s still sinking in for me. This year, rather than buy back-to-school supplies, we prepared with back-to-school clothes, a new bag, accessories and shoes– the list goes on. Now that Ms. B, as well as the rest of the kids, is getting older, it’s a priority that our family stays close and connected! Luckily, I can accumulate points for a variety of different rewards with my MBNA Rewards World Elite® MasterCard®. For example, we can use our points for travel during school breaks or once Ms. B’s first year of high school is complete. What better way to stay connected with family than through travel?

I’ve always felt travel was important and this was the year that we made it happen! Our dream of travelling abroad as a family came to fruition. We took the family on a tour of the South of Spain earlier this year and then headed to Guyana in South America with my in-laws for a family reunion this past August. We learned that the kids travel very well and we all share a love of exploring new cities, trying new food and embracing local cultures. It was great to spend that kind of time together. The kids have caught the travel bug and we’re hoping to do a lot more travelling with them in the future. That’s why it’s important for me to select a card that will allow me to accumulate travel rewards with everyday eligible purchases. One of the things I love about the MBNA Rewards World Elite® MasterCard® is that I can redeem points for flights, Canadian car rentals as well as hotels and cruises.  I love that my everyday eligible purchases can help get us one step closer to our next travel destination.

The MBNA Rewards World Elite® MasterCard® has given me the opportunity to book trips using my points so that even as my little baby grows up, we can still go on these adventures together as a family. Ms. B is growing up fast and watching her start high school has made me aware of how quickly time flies by. It’s important to seize every opportunity to create memories with them that will last a lifetime. I’ll be sharing how I plan on making that happen in Part 2 and Part 3 of this series so be sure to follow along.

I’ll also be sharing more about the #MBNA #AllinWonder card on my social channels as well – so stayed tuned! In the meantime, what sort of rewards do you look for when selecting a credit card?

  29. Getting a credit card with perks that are really useful for your individual circumstances can be such a value! Just need to remember to pay off your bill each month to ensure you are actually getting a financial benefit from the perks. Start paying interest and going into debt doesn’t make it much of a benefit. With your interest in travel this seems like a great program to be involved with. Enjoyed reading about your experience.
